ピアノ教室の調律をしました。グランドピアノとアップライトピアノを各一台ずつです。

Tuning pianos at the Piano Studio, a grand and an upright.

新たにこの教室にやってきて数カ月。グランドピアノは全弦張替しているのでピッチが下がっているのは理解できるのですが、アップライトピアノも同じように2ヘルツほど下がっていました。頻繁にクーラーが稼働する部屋に来たので、まだ落ち着かないのでしょう。

These pianos has been here a few months ago.  The grand piano is restrung so the strings stretch more that causes the pitch lowered.  This is understandable.  But the upright’s pitch is also lowered about 2Hz.  Probably, the piano is still changing because the air conditioner is running more in this room.

先日先生方との打ち合わせで月1回のペースで調律することとなりました。調律以外にも調整、お掃除、エンブレムやペダルなど、真鍮パーツの研磨も行います。

Monthly piano tuning is assigned by the piano teachers’ meeting.  Regulating, cleaning and polishing brass parts are also performed.
