ファイリングという、ハンマーヘッドの表面を削る作業をしました。

本来は弦の溝が深くついて変形したハンマーフェルトを整形するという作業ですが、こんかいは汚れを落とすという意味での作業です。

This is the picture of filing the hammer heads.  Usually, the filing is re-shaping the hammer felt which repeatedly strikes strings then deformed.  In this case, the shape is not bad but rather filing them to remove the dirt.

下の写真はハンマーウッドのお掃除をしているものです。古いピアノのハンマーウッドには塗装が施されている物があります。

Below, the hammer moldings are cleaned, too.  Old pianos moldings are finished.

これでオーバーホール作業は終了です。後はもう少し弦を叩いてピアノ線を伸ばし、調律を繰り返して落ち着かせます。もうじき納品です。

Restringing work is now complete.  Now to stretch the strings by playing more and more tunings. It will be returned to the customer soon.
