バッハのシンフォニア5番を練習しています。ピアノの練習というと、以前は全て暗譜して弾いていましたが、最近は記憶力が悪くなってきてそれが難しくなっています。そこで楽譜を読みながら演奏することを重視するようになりましたが、今日の練習では何となくできてきたような気がします。音符を目で追い、脳でどの音かを認識して指先に命令する、というプロセスになるのでしょうか。できると楽しいものです。

I am working on J.S. Bach’s Sinfonia #5 in Eb major.  Piano practice has been memorizing whole piece for me.  But my memory storage is becoming smaller (due to my age, hopefully not) and getting more difficult to play without the score.  Now I concentrate on reading and play.  I think I am getting used to this operation.  Watching notes carefully, my brain recognize each note and send the signal to my finger.  Interesting.
