YAMAHA W102の外装修理を開始します。ウォルナット艶消し、トーンエスケープなど、独特なデザインが特徴のピアノです。きれいにしたいと思います。

まずは分解からです。

Starting to work on Yamaha upright piano W102.  Walnut veneered, tone escape and other Yamaha’s characteristic design is pretty.  It will be clean.

多分、相当湿度の高いところに保存されていたのでしょう。化粧板のはがれが多く見られるのは接着剤の効果が切れてしまったからと推測します。さすがに今回はネジがたくさん折れました。作業は増えますが、問題ありません。

This piano was supposedly left in a very humid place.  Much of the veneer is peeled.  Man, I broke a lot of screws, too!  This will add more repair work.  No problem, though.

作業が楽しみです。ツキ板注文しないと。

This is where the fun begins!  Got to order some veneer.
