まず下の写真。DIAPASON 183-Eのクリーニングからです。金属パーツを磨いたり、傷を埋める作業をしました。傷埋め作業は１回で終わらそうとするとできなかったときにかえってストレスになるので、最初から２回くらいはするつもりで臨みます。そして待っている間に他の作業ができるよう段取りしています。

で、その待っている間に始めたのがもう一つのDIAPASON 170への脚の取り付け作業の準備です。とりあえずピアノ本体をひっくり返しました。フレームが入っていないとはいえ、なかなか重くて気を使いました。そもそも、こんなピアノが傷つくかもしれないリスクのある作業、塗装前にやるべきでした。まずはいろいろ位置合わせをしたりしています。まだ作業には取り掛かりません。やり直しが利かないのでチェックにチェックを重ねます。

Working on two grand pianos at the same time.  One is refurbishing and the other is installation of french style legs.  I was trying to remove the key bed to work on this but the screws were too tight so decided to flip the piano itself.  I treated the piano as if I was moving a sleeping baby since the piano surface was almost finished and I should never make a scratch.  

Anyways, there will be measuring and locating the legs.  It takes time and I mustn’t rush.  Always double or even triple checking before cutting!
